The following lines seek to analyze the meanings of territoriality and the forms of social integration of afrocolombian migrants living in the Charco Azul and Mójica II neighborhoods, and in the settlements of Cinta Sardi and Colonia Nariñense, located in the District of Aguablanca in thecity of Cali.


 


The article is divided in three parts: the first one presents methodological and conceptual aspects, in order to approach the research object from which this paper is derived; the second part briefly contextualizes migratory and urbanization processes occurring in Colombia during the mid- tolate-twentieth century, with special reference to the Aguablanca District (Cali) settlement process. Finally, the article describes the developmentand consolidation of Charco Azul and Mójica II neighborhoods, as well as the settlements Cinta Sardi and Colonia Nariñense, in light of different dialogues, forms of ownership, attachments and tensions, and even takinginto account different traces and emerging symbolic references in the construction and consolidation of the aforementioned neighborhoods. The article closes with some conclusions on the topics addressed.
