Crisis, social exclusion and democratization in Colombia

The article presents an overview of the social reality of our country from various fields such as: the acute social exclusion and the consequent inequality of opportunities for participation in various development processes, the subordination of the public in favor of privileged private interests, precariousness of the State due to its insufficient democratic representativeness and weak institutionality, the fragility of citizen coexistence in multiple instances of social order in the country with the increasing use of force, coercion or the power of influence of powerful groups over other population groups , the reproduction of illegality practices in certain areas of relationships and a tendency towards the productive deactivation of important sectors of our economy. As well as the great challenges that the country has to face if it is to reach a social transformation.
