Conjugal plots ... a look at the issues of conflict between couples in the city of Santiago de Cali 2001

Abstract

Conjugal violence in Cali in 2001 is crossed by different issues of discussion and conflict between couples that end in different physical acts and verbal content that violates, hurts and destroys individuality and socio-family relationships. In the themes of conflict we find a common element that crosses them as it is the existing tension in front of the imposition of the traditional gender identity, either from the jealous man who wants to keep the woman as an object of affective and sexual property, the disagreement related to domestic activities, the control that man performs over the sexual and affective life of women through their children, or from the breakdown of power relations in the family.
