Signs of our time

Abstract

The article identifies some global processes as signs of a profound social transformation: the technological revolution expressed in new information and communication systems, the end of the cold war, the emergence of new social movements, the restructuring of capitalism, the European unification , constant movements of people from one place to another, in search of security, refuge or better living conditions, among others, and in front of which there is no interpretative agreement of the processes of social change that we are living, we only know that we are facing to a great process of change, which some place as a continuity of modernity and others mark as the product of a discontinuity between one stage and another. Undoubtedly this poses new challenges in training and professional action.
