Change of the family: its expressions in religiosity and sexuality

The concept of social "change" is a polemical one and implies that professionals and researchers undertake theoretic and practical considerations in order to pursue research" and intervention with families. The purpose of this article is to introduce a concept of social change that includes non change factors. In other words, social change implies future building, taking into consideration the tradition, implies also transformation and resistance, cleavages and ruptures, as much as continuities. This article considers the example of social change in parental and conjugal relations, and illustrates it through examples of religious and sexual life. Our interviewees are aman and a woman that relate their experiences as couple, as father and mother in the 90's, and as son and daughter in the 50·s. They illustrate with their experiences some social changes in the colombian families at the end of the XX century.
